Surrey County Cricket Club has pledged to reach Net Zero by 2030, targeting an 80% reduction in emissions and aiming to make the Kia Oval one of the most sustainable cricket grounds in the world.
SSE Energy Solutions supports that ambition with practical, data-led action. A comprehensive energy audit, using an in-house benchmarking tool, is helping map energy use across the venue, identify waste and prioritise improvement. Working with the club, we are exploring smart building technologies, advanced energy management and expanded on-site solar to optimise performance and reduce costs.

One the day, you can test your eco-know-how and swing for glory on the BatFast simulator, with prizes for the biggest hitters on the day.
