Renew your business energy

Yes, you can easily renew your contract through your online account. However, this option is only available to businesses that meet the following criteria:

• You’re classified as a SME
• You have a single-site contract
• You have a non-half-hourly meter
• Your annual consumption is <100,000kWh for electricity and/or <293,000kWh for gas
• Your renewal is due in 60 days
• You have not already renewed with us

There are a couple of ways to renew without an account. You can:

• Respond to a reminder. We'll send you a reminder around 60 days before your contract ends. This will include details of the contract renewal process. You can reply directly or email us at smedirectsales@sse.com.
• Give us a call. We're always on hand to help. If you call us on 08003894466, one of our team will renew your contract over the phone.
• Set up an account. We recommend setting up an online account for easy renewals . Once you sign in, you can view your contract details and check your renewal date.

We'll be in touch around 60 days before your contract ends.

We'll send instructions on renewing your contract by post, email or through your online account. However, you can check your renewal date at any time using your online account.

If you don’t renew, you’ll automatically move to our variable business rate. This rate changes based on market conditions. This can lead to increases in your energy bills, which can make it difficult to plan your monthly budget

You can view your contract details anytime in your online account. We'll also include your contract details in the renewal reminder we send about 60 days before your contract ends.
