Supporting our customers with a different kind of energy
Last year, SSE Energy Solutions launched its first Energy Customer Solutions competition, inviting eligible Business Energy customers to enter for the chance to receive up to £3,000 in energy credits - practical support designed to make a real difference at a time when many organisations are under pressure.
One of the competition winners was The Scouts, filmed at their National Headquarters at Gilwell Park, just outside London. This short film captures the inspirational work taking place there every day to support young people, volunteers and local communities.
It showcases some of the amazing people who power The Scouts – from the ‘stepping up to make a difference’ kind of energy of the volunteers and leaders – to the ‘let’s get stuck in’ commitment of the staff.
Making a real impact where it matters most
At Gilwell Park, energy keeps the site running year-round, including accommodation, training spaces and the shared facilities used by volunteers and visitors.
The £3,000 credit has helped cover essential running costs, easing day-to-day pressures and allowing those on the ground to stay focused on what matters most: creating safe, welcoming environments where young people can build confidence, resilience and skills for life.
