We won the tender for the Glasgow Harbour masterplan against stiff competition. We’ve been energising the area, quite literally. We brought in high voltage connections. We added domestic electricity and gas.

SSE Utility Solutions is responsible for providing an operation, maintenance and repair service to the Energy Centre at a Hospital in Edinburgh. With 800 inpatient beds, the Hospital is home to regional centres for both Cancer and Clinical Neuroscience.
Operating round the clock dictates a constant demand for power and heat. The Hospital meets this need with its on-site Energy Centre, comprising a 1MW CHP gas turbine engine, a waste heat boiler capable of producing 1 tonne of steam per hour, and 3 dual fuel boilers which are each capable of producing 20 tonnes of steam per hour.
As a further back-up measure, the Energy Centre is also equipped with two diesel generators, one 800 kVA and 1 x 725 kVA which provides sufficient resource to run the power supply should the need arise.
