At SSE Energy Solutions, we’re pleased to bring you our accredited (DC/DA) service, where we can manage the secure collection of your half-hourly electricity consumption data and issue it to you, your customers and the registered energy supplier within Day+1.
As Ofgem continue work on transitioning the whole electricity market into half-hourly settlement through 2022 and beyond, suppliers will begin migrating all smart meters, enabling even the smallest of businesses to consolidate all its meters under a single half hourly DC/DA service.
Our team of Half Hourly Settlement experts are on hand to help you with any of your data queries; making it easier for you to plan how you can reduce your energy consumption.

All customers with half-hourly supplies can choose their own provider for DC/DA services, you don’t have to use your supplier’s default agent.
By choosing your own agent, you could make significant savings on your energy invoices.
We are supplier agnostic and have our own report suite alongside our energy management portal (BEI), giving you the assurance that you’ll have Day+1 access to quality data allowing you to reconcile against supplier invoices and providing you with the tools to make energy efficiencies.

<li>Consumption data is automatically collected from your electricity meter in 48 half hour periods everyday via a remote connection. If a remote connection isn’t possible, data is collected manually through a site visit</li>
<li>All data is validated to ensure accuracy and to identify any anomalies before it’s submitted to the supplier</li>
<li>Estimates might be created if automated or manual data cannot be retrieved. This is done in line with industry regulations</li>
<li>Your data is then submitted to your registered supplier for billing</li>
</ol>
The Balancing and Settlement Code requires that 99% of data is actual consumption across the half hourly industry.
To achieve this, we work in partnership with your chosen agents, meter operator and supplier to ensure actual data is provided. Together we’ll resolve any dial failures and meters which don’t have a remote connection.

The Data Aggregator profiles the data in line with industry regulations and validates it or resolves any exceptions before submitting into settlements, ready to be used for billing.
At SSE we take a pro-active approach in identifying, managing and resolving these exceptions to ensure only accurate data is submitted.

BEI allows you to remotely monitor all your utility data by creating a wide range of reports for both long and short-term trend analysis.
Day+1 Access to Data – As part of our DCDA service.
Self-Serve - The system is easy to navigate and use and accessed from your web browser.
Customisable Dashboards - Interactive data visualisations allows you to assess your energy performance and identify areas to make savings.

Our MOP service covers the installation and maintenance of your electricity meter and comms, collection of your half hourly consumption data and access to our energy management portal; BEI where you can view your energy consumption at Day+1.
We can be your end to end service provide for your half hourly meters, no matter who your registered supplier is.
