Terms and Conditions

The Promotion

  1. This Prize Draw or Contest (the “Prize Draw”) is promoted by SSE Energy Supply Limited, trading as SSE Energy Solutions, registered in England and Wales number 03757502 which is a member of the SSE Group (the “Promoter”). The registered office of SSE Energy Supply Limited is No. 1 Forbury Place, 43 Forbury Road, Reading, RG1 3JH.

  2. The Prize Draw period commences on 12/08/2025 at 16:00pm GMT and closes at 12:00pm GMT on 08/10/2025 (the “Prize Draw Period”).

  3. “Account” means your Invoice Structure Account with SSE Energy Supply Limited, details of which can be found on a customer’s bill, in the ‘Invoice Structure Identifier’ section.

  4. By entering the Prize Draw, you (the “Entrant”) agree to these terms and conditions.

  5. By entering this Prize Draw, entrants acknowledge that personal data they provide will be used by the Promoter to administer the prize draw. We'll always treat your personal data with respect, keep it safe and secure and never sell it to third parties. Eligibility

  1. The Prize Draw is only open to: a) Businesses with a legally binding energy supply contract with SSE Energy Supply Limited on October 8th, 2025.

  2. The Prize Draw is not open to: a) Businesses subject to a Deemed Contract with SSE Energy Supply Limited and/or billed on a Variable Business Rate on their SSE Energy Supply Limited Account on October 8th, 2025; b) Managing agents, brokers or other third parties acting on behalf of a business; c) Businesses who are subject to legal action and/or a debt recovery process and/or are registered as bankrupt with SSE Energy Supply Limited.

  3. To enter the Promotion, Entrants must visit the competition page on the Promoter’s website and complete all mandatory fields on the entry form at sseenergysolutions.co.uk/free-energy-competition.

  4. Only one entry per business is allowed. If multiple entries are submitted for a business, only the first eligible entry will be entered into the Prize Draw.

Prizes & Winner Selection

  1. Every valid entry into the Prize Draw could win one (1) of five (5) prizes (the “Prize”). Each Prize consists of: a) Energy credits applied to an Account up to a maximum value equivalent to the cost of supplying one (1) Account for one (1) year, or £3,000, whichever is lesser.

  2. The Promoter shall select one (1) entry at random to win each Prize. Five (5) entries in total will be selected from all eligible entries as winners (the “Winning Participants”).

  3. The Winning Participants will be notified by SSE Energy Solutions via the email or telephone number provided in their entry by 22/10/2025. Once contacted, the Winning Participant will be asked to confirm details of their supply and their business, including their position within the business. Winning Participants must have authority to manage energy on behalf of the business and cannot be a managing agent or third party.

  4. If the Winning Participant does not respond or cannot confirm their supply or business details within 7 days, the Promoter will offer the Prize to an alternative Entrant, selected at random, and the original Winning Participant shall have no right to claim the Prize.

  5. If a Winning Participant has multiple Accounts with SSE Energy Supply Limited, they will be asked to select which Account they would like to use to calculate the Prize value and apply the Prize value against.

  6. The Prize value will be calculated using the estimated Annual Consumption (kWh) and costs agreed by the Winning Participant in each contract under an Account. The maximum Prize value is £3,000.

  7. Prizes will be applied to the Winning Participants chosen Account by 05/11/2025 if all contract agreements in the Account are already live and on supply. If a Winning Participant chooses to apply the credits against an Account where all contracts are not yet live or are pending a supply switch, the prize will be applied within 30 days of the switch taking place and/or the contracts going live.

  8. If the Winning Participant becomes subject to legal action and/or a debt recovery process and/or they terminate their relationship with SSE Energy Supply Limited on or before the date the Prize is applied to their account, they will no longer be eligible to receive the Prize. In this circumstance, the Promoter will offer the Prize to an alternative Entrant, selected at random, and the original Winning Participant shall have no right to claim the Prize.

  9. The business name and county of the Winning Participant will be published on the Promoters website for at least 30 days. The Winning Participant may also be asked to participate in publicity and be featured on our social media. The Winning Participant can opt out of this by informing the Promoter. If the Winning Participant chooses to opt out, details of their business name and county will only be available on request 30 days after the draw.

  10. The Promotor reserves the right to replace the Prize with an equivalent prize without notice.

  11. The Prize is not negotiable or transferable, and there is no cash alternative. No part or parts of the Prize may be substituted for other benefits, items, or additions. The Prize must not be sold on or transferred to another party.

  12. If there is Prize credit remaining on a Winning Participant’s Account after their contract(s) has ended, the remaining Prize credit can be transferred to another Account held by the Winning Participant. Prize credit cannot be applied to Accounts with a Variable Recurring Rate (VBR) contract or Deemed Contract at any time. If the Winning Participant chooses to terminate their relationship with SSE Energy Supply Limited or does not wish for the remaining Prize credit to be transferred to another Account, the Promoter will recover the remaining Prize credit. No part of the Prize credit can be refunded or transferred to a bank account.

General

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or terminate the prize draw without prior notice.

  2. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  3. The Promoter accepts no liability for lost entries. The Promoter and their agents accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this prize draw, including any technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant’s ability to participate in the prize draw.

  4. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude any entries at its complete discretion, including those entries which the Promoter believes to be fraudulent, or based on misconduct.

  5. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
