Here in the United Kingdom, Telefónica UK (trading as O2) has over 32 million connections to its mobile network, running 2G, 3G and 4G services across the UK. It also operates a nationwide O2 Wifi service, has around 6,700 employees and over 450 retail stores.

This included creating an internal mandate to offset all their carbon emissions and source ethically. And so in the UK, O2 (Telefónica UK) became an SSE Green customer in 2009.
